Installation Process of a Vinyl Floor Wrap
Have you ever wondered about the installation process of a vinyl floor wrap? The team at InStyle Floor Wraps has been installing custom vinyl floor wraps for so long that we often overlook the fact that not everyone understands the details involved. Each vinyl floor wrap can vary slightly depending on the design and size specifications; however, almost all floor wrap installations follow the same simple steps. For a better understanding of the installation process, follow along with the steps outlined below:
Step 1: the design
The installation process of a vinyl floor wrap all begins with an idea. Whether our clients utilize our talented in-house design team or choose to create a design mockup themselves, this is one of the most important stages throughout the entire process. It often involves a lot of back and forth communication with clients as we work hard to thoroughly understand their needs so that we can effectively forget their vision into a reality. Before moving onto the printing stage, we ensure that all final proofs and details are signed off on by the client.
Step 2: the printing
One of the reasons that our custom vinyl floor wraps are so durable is that we use a state-of-the-art printing process that involves cutting-edge technology, high-quality materials and state-of-the-art ink. All of the floor wraps at InStyle Floor Wraps are printed on high-performing 3M vinyl material so that they can withstand a high amount of foot traffic.
Step 3: the installation
The last step in the installation process of a vinyl floor wrap is the installation itself. Attention to detail and patience are crucial during this stage. We make sure that each member of our installation team has several years of floor wrapping installation experience. Before the floor wrap is installed, the floor’s surface must be properly inspected and cleaned. Once this has been completed, the printed vinyl is positioned over the floor’s surface with only the center area making direct contact with the floor. A squeegee is then used to slowly press the rest of the printed vinyl to the floor’s surface. The pressing begins at the center of the printed vinyl and work its way to the outside edges. This ensures that the result will be smooth and wrinkle-free.
